.Location: Melbourne Roles And Responsibilities As a Support Engineer, you should be responsible for

  • Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management and all ITSM processes for business-critical applications
  • Maintaining the health of the applications by regular proactive monitoring and remediating any issues which might impact application availability and/or performance
  • Keeping ITSM tool update for the tickets assigned and tracking items to closure.
  • Collaborating with application and delivery team and all related external teams to ensure smooth functioning of the application
  • Explore opportunities for continuous service improvement, automation of repetitive tasks
  • Hands on programming, unit testing and implementation of minor enhancements to the application features
  • Reporting on the status of work assigned

Essential

  • Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.
  • Experience of using ITSM tools like ServiceNow, Remedy etc.
  • Good analytical abilities and debugging skills
  • Service Management experience – Level 2 and Leve3 Technical Support
  • Hands on Python scripting / coding skills – Develop samples, Modify and customize scripts

 Preferred

  • Domain Knowledge in Telecommunications is preferred and not a must.
  • Keen to learn new technical skills

Additional Skills

  • Excellent customer interfacing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and Problem-solving skills.
